I am in roughly the same age group as Kavanaugh and Ford.

I can attest that many parents of teens in the eighties were very lenient and those type of roving parties were common.

I understand completely, being of that era, how she does not know the exact party or night.

But she knows it was him.

I am older but can still remember parties and exactly what happened in a few. It had to be something out of the ordinary or otherwise it's pretty much a lost memory. Even her friend says she cannot remember that party which is perfectly understandable if nothing of consequence happened there to her. As for Ford that event would have been seared into her memories even if she might not remember the exact date or address.

He also knows he did it.

@BufftonBeotch That would be true.

I agree. I experienced all sorts of awful things that boys tried to do to me because they thought I was drunk after pushing alcohol on me (I dumped it in the nearest sink or plant). A close friend of mine went to a party, got drunk, passed out in the backyard and was trained. My other friends found her out there and couldn’t stop the boys but were afraid to call the police. She was never the same.

He did it.
His denial is way worse than if he had just admitted it.

Trauma can sear the act in your brain. You may not know the exact location/time but will remember the smell of the person, their breathe on your face, sound of their voice and if you see their face, you'll remember that as well. This unfortunately has been happening for many generations and I feel it's the parents of individuals who don't teach their children that they don't have the right to another's body without their permission that are more responsible as opposed to a parent's leniency.

the parents may have been more naive than lenient, not knowing where their kids were and what they were doing. they may have had assurances that the boys were doing something useful (like studying!)

Mark me as team Dr. Ford.

She has no reason to have come forward.

He has every reason to deny and lie.

And if he will lie about this he will lie about anything.

@BufftonBeotch he already has lied about a lot, apart from this. the man is a worm. i apologize to worms.

@genessa

I'd have thought higher of him, if he'd have just admitted when he was a teen he went to some crazy parties but he is not that boy anymore.

That he profoundly apologizes for anything he did.

This blanket denial is disgusting.

@BufftonBeotch not me. he's done too much other crap. there is nothing he could say or do that would make me respect him the tiniest bit.
