Why the hell is it taking so long for water to run down hill? The Dan River’s still fairly high & muddy, but much lower than a week ago. This former Oregonian wants to know 😉

the estimates are Florence dumped 18 trillion gallons of water on us

@gebulldog the rainfall varied widely throughout the state. in certain places, the rainfall was measured in feet not inches

@gebulldog Yesterday I heard it ‘converted to pounds,’ so heavy it’s deflected the earth’s crust downward! Not ‘a lot,’ but it sounds like the surrounding land is more like a bowl than ‘land’.. Glad I chose high ground; Hillbillies, rock, treacherous roads and isolation being the cost :/
