I went to Massage Envy today and the massage therapist straight up asked me if I was “saved” at the beginning of my session! Then, she continued to talk to me about jesus throughout the massage. I’m not confrontational, so I just tried to tune her out and not respond. Plus, I was naked and feeling vulnerable since I was under her control, so to speak. I realize I could’ve asked her to stop talking, or let her know I am an anti-thiest, but I wanted the massage and good service!

I would have asked for a different therapist as soon as she uttered those words, or said "I prefer quiet when I'm getting a massage". Never let yourself be manipulated into hearing bullshit.

@JLove3 Only you can allow yourself to be in an uncomfortable situation. Grow a pair, girlfriend! 😉

Your money, your time...why did you not tell her to stop?

@JLove3 you do not have to be "confrontational"! (IMO she was extremely unprofessional, she should know people get massages to relax, not get haranged!). You can simply state it is important to you to have quiet massage. time. You can also be sure to ask for somebody else next time!
REMEMBER, your money, your choice!

Nope. Lesson learned. Chatty massage therapists are bad enough, but this is malpractice. Really. Please take the time to write the licensing board a letter telling them what happened. And please stop using that company.... The horror stories coming out of that company are due to one reason: Massage Therapists who are worth anything will not accept $10-15 a massage in compensation for their expertise. You are not the only person she is doing this to. It would make the papers if she were Muslim doing this, and charges would be filed.

NO, that is not cool. I would have said something to stop her ramblings. How dare she do that when you are at your most vulnerable!

@Donotbelieve Yep, me too. Not cool at all.

Time to drop a note of complaint to the manager, and find another massage place.

Religion is like a mental illness. People who are infected just can't stop themselves from regurgitating this nonsense.

she might have made it a little rough if you had told her to stop talking nonsense.

Wow, I would let management know if I was you. Not cool.
