Vampire, panda, clown. That's what I see out there in the street. Some of them use so much make-up that they might be made of plastic. Maybe I'm weird, but I find all that slime repulsive. (And I've never understood that tadpole eyebrow thing either - is it meant to attract frogs in the hope that one will turn into a prince when kissed?) I suppose it makes the search easier though.
I never liked the big black eyebrows thing. It just looks cartoony. Also, dark, overdone contouring. That's stage makeup, people. It's meant to read to people 20 feet away, not two.
I'm with you on the eye brow thing. I think it's a modern take on the Emperor's New Clothes. Some celebrity must have done and everybody copied it because it must be good when in fact it looks ridiculous. I think it detracts from a woman's looks rather than enhances it. But then again I'm an increasingly grumpy old fart who's out of touch with modern fashion - Thank god (If you'll pardon the phrase)
Giant attack eyebrows! Big ol face caterpillars is how I see 'em.
@memorylikeasieve Face caterpillars? FUNNY!
I've been living in Thailand since 2010, where Thai women seldom wear make up unless it's required at work, for a "sexy outfit" service or entertainment job. They also don't shave their legs because they don't seem to have body hair.
I stopped wearing make up several years ago because I want to be able to rub my eyes whenever I wish, and I also don't shave because I have almost no body hair - perhaps because of certain Thai herbs I take.
I'm guessing you're talking about make-up trends? Have you noticed that false eyelashes are back? Some of these women seem to have brooms on their lids....
I tried fake eyelashes once. Developed contact dermatitis so badly my eyes were swollen shut. No thanks, makeup industry.
@memorylikeasieve EWWWW! Glad it was cured!
@LucyLoohoo aye, I got some Benadryl cream and they were fine by the next day. Well, that's what dress rehearsals are for. ?
@memorylikeasieve Don't wear those again....
