On a sillier note, it's National Chewing Gum Day! The chewing gum of choice in my household as a child was Bazooka, of course-it's kosher, plus it was what was given to my dad as a soldier. So....what was yours?

Fruit Stripes was my favorite as a kid, even though it lost its flavor in 2.37 seconds.

Also, today would have been the best day to go around saying "I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass.. and I'm all outta bubblegum.."

In the olden Boomer days the price was right, 1 cent each. We loved it but occasionally it was beyond our "budget" (of zero).

I loved Beamans, Teaberry and Juicy Fruit. My mom always had Dentyne, so if I had nothing else, I chewed that. I haven't chewed gum in years.

Hubba bubba when I was a kid and mentos gum now! I keep it in my car,,I call it “car gum”, it’s fine because of the shell. The only place I can’t keep it in the car is Arizona, the heat destroyed it, but it works well in Florida.

Blowing bubblegum bubble contests as a kid! Then teaching my kids to blow bubbles. Memories!
