Nature mixed with roads is brutal. Don't read this if you don't want to read what reality sometimes is.

On the way to work this morning there was the corpse of a deer.
Obliterated like they are when they are squeezed through the quad tires of a big rig.

And laying dead next to her was her fawn.

Apparently uninjured but dead anyway.

Nature is not Disney.

Orphans do not survive by charm and pluck.

[who.int]

According to the WHO every day about three and a half thousand (3500) people die on the world's roads and tens of thousands are injured or disabled. Children, pedestrians, cyclists and older people are among the most vulnerable of road users and yet vehicle manufacturers don't give a damn. Modern cars are stuffed with airbags inside. On the outside where the most vulnerable people are NONE - ZERO - ZILCH ... VOLVO made a lame attempt but it was obviously not a selling point. So every day thousands of people and animals are sacrificed on the roads, the altar to the glory of the gods of SUVs and the glory of racing capitalism.
