I have spent the last 3 weeks watching my son in severe pain from chronic ulcerative colitis have to agonize over expenses for hospitalization, get a referral to a specialist because his new insuranse didn't recognize his specialist from the old insurance & then spend the last week running between the specialst, pharmacy & insurance company to try & get his meds covered. $400 for the dose he needs or $10 for a lower dose with a shit load more pills to take every day...all the while in pain because he couldn't get his meds.

It has taken every ounce of restraint I have not to completely & utterly lose my proverbial shit.

I cannot wait to vote with a great deal of malice & prejudice in every stoke of my pen on that ballot.

Just when you thought "For Pay Prisons" were the worst of people, now this! 😠

The for profit prison system is one of the things they are really going to expand - combined with Sessions' declaration that marijuana is a gateway drug and should remain a felony - you can see where this is going. With the benches stacked with right leaning judges, we're going to take a giant step backwards (I'm afraid) and up being the largest penal colony in the western hemisphere.

@Lavergne I’m just waiting for a city to be walled off and made into. Prison

@Simon1 some people just laugh and think I'm nuts when I say that....but they figured out a while back that for-profit prisons are a HUGE moneymaker for them. And if you start incarcerating everyone who gets picked up for possession - never mind any real serious drug charges - and if they go back to giving everyone those really stiff sentences....there have already been cases of judges found to be complicit in giving unduly long sentences because they were shareholders in one of the for profit prison corporations. This is the kind of sneaky, quiet thing that no one pays attention to until it blows up in everyone's face. You really think - after everything Sessions has said - that they won't tell the federal DEA agents to go in and drop the hammer on the states that have legalized pot for recreation (first) and then go after the medical use states as well? the only reason it isn't happening now is because Obama/Holder basically said to leave the states alone to deal with it internally and individually - but make no mistake. Its all still illegal on the federal level.

@Lavergne with no money going into the mental health services over here and the refusal to legalise cannabis it’s going to be looking the same here in the uk

This should be considered bribery. It's only legal because it's the lawmakers making the laws. They aren't representing the people and that needs to change. Make it change.

With a MASS Society the Economic System Has to change to be Socially Progressive. It is best for those on top & those under them. Social Democracy will only be better for all of the World & America.
