As far as I know, there is no geological evidence to support the claim that a global flood occurred. Anyone know about this, because I would like to know if I am right?

Correct, by 1830 the very devout Christian scientists of the day had concluded there was no evidence of a global flood and the Earth was at least millions of years old. And they had expected to prove the opposite. Hasn't changed since.
