My new job is managing at a bookstore.
PERK - I can borrow any book that I desire! Woot!
First one is Eric Idle's new book
Always Look on the Bright Side of Life
...I'll let you know. Can't possibly be bad.
Working n a book store and getting paid has to be one of the best jobs, that is until you have to stop reading and actually do something to make some money for the store. But I guess you have to read them so you can recommend them. What is the name of the store and do they send to customers far away.
@AmiSue I try to make it a point to buy local, if that does not work, I try Powell's in Portland, Or. Once I start to try Powell's I might as well try another store that helps someone I know so the question. Powell's is always full price, at least it is not Amazon. Which is the real problem in a number of ways.
So if I find cookie crumbs in my new book, I'll know you've borrowed it? ??
Books are to be read, learning that someone else read the book before me would not bother me unless they also wrote in it. I do not think like others as I choose different aspects in books that have already been marked.
Do you happen to have a copy of Hellbent For Cooking? Can't find mine. If you haven't read them, I'd reccomend the Steig Larsson Millenium series. Or The Dice Man by Luke Reinheart.
@AmiSue If you read The Dice Man, don't take it literally. I myself have made dice deciouns. I loaned the book to others. They did the same.
Eric grew up in my home town, and as a child supported our local soccer team (Wolverhampton Wanderers). I mentioned this in a tweet once and he replied to me. A great guy! I’m keen to get hold of this book and would be interested to know what you think.
