My Birthday is this Saturday...I wanna try some new drinks when out on the town. I tend to stick to Jack n Coke. I am not a fan of overly sweet or fruity drinks. Any suggestions?

Happy Belated Birthday! I see that you are new. Welcome to Agnostic. Grey Goose and cranberry juice is good. I mostly drink rum and coke when I go out. Usually drink beer at home.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!

Gin and tonic is my go to when I'm not having a beer. Gotta go up a shelf, at least, to a Beefeater, Bombay, or Tanqueray, for the gin. I always thought gin was nasty, that is until I had a gin that wasn't bottom shelf Seagram's. LOL

Enjoy your birthday and I'd like to hear what you tried and if you liked it.

Cheers!

Thanks...I let let ya know what I try....and see if I remember any details after! lol
I will follow up the beginning of next week.

Something new but old and very grown up is the negroni.
Equal parts vermouth, gin, campari. Ice. Slice of orange.
No straw.
A great way to start a night.
Happy Birthday!

Wow...I have never tried that...I think those are readily available now! lol Thank ya1

When I go to the bar, I usually have a Jack and Coke. Otherwise you can try a Brandy Alexander.

OT Food Magazine renamed the Jack and Coke to The Lemmy.

I love my Jack n Coke...just wanted to try something different. My friends always ask "What do you wanna drink?" to offer for my B-day...Soo I will throw some of these suggestions out there!

How about vodka and prune juice-you know a pile driver🙂. Kidding aside, do you have any really good Irish theme pubs in your area? If so they should have a live band with some sing alongs and enough varieties of Jameson (among others) to float a battleship. Happy Birthday.

Yes ...there are some around...that would be fun!! I love that type of environment!n Thank you!!

If you can find Brazilian cachaça, try the "caipirinha"

You can make your own drink. Try this one. A very small piece of ginger, half of a lemon, half of a cardamom, 4 mint leves and sugar. Add these ingredients in one and a half glass of cold water and blend them in a blender/mixer. You can use a sieve to get the clear juice. If you find it too strong, add more water.

Cool..I will try this when I stay in...I will be out and about this weekend. Thanks!!

I fear you're taking innocent drinkers down an evil path...

You can't go wrong with a pint of Guinness.
