I am a deep blue in this deeply red state, but I am lucky to live in the only blue county here. I will vote for Jordan, but I am mixed after hearing/seeing her speak. She is a terrible public speaker, as if something is, well, just off about her...but I agree with most of her stances on issues, so that’s where she gets my support. This is a very different place than, say, CA, and as left as I am, you can’t have a cookie cutter approach and still serve your constituents well. We also have some other great candidates for the State House, etc (check out Muffy Davis!).

Note my conversation with PinkyandtheBrain (below). My brother lives there, we don't talk politics.
Do you know about The Blue Dot in Texas?

@Condor5
I don’t know about The Blue Dot specifically, but I do have several family members in Texas (most around the Austin area) who are active progressive liberals...so Like Idaho, most red areas have some blue. Thank goodness.

She will win if a bunch of idiots vote with their little head. She is gorgeous. I love you no matter what color you are. But I am with daringdavid Idaho is so beutiful one of the most conservative happiest places to live and raise a family a utopia a zion wish you were here.

My brother lives there, and I've been there a few times. Yes, it is beautiful, and it is conservative which, in normal times, I could live with; these aren't normal times, as evidenced by the very nasty response your friend Dave left me, prompting me to have to block him.

@Condor5 Escape from California escape from LA I did.

@PinkyandtheBrain you know, if my daughter, and what few friends I have left, didn't live here, I would (and have seriously considered to) move there. It is a beautiful state with so much great outdoor recreation, and the people I met when I was there were so friendly. But, right now, with the political situation as it is, I'd probably get myself killed.

@Condor5 How will they get you killed move here and to the protection. Safety. Serenity Love and care. Move! Get out of there for your family's sake.

@PinkyandtheBrain I'm a bit unfiltered about my political beliefs, and they don't lean to the right, is all I'm saying. And, I'm not concerned for my safety here; I was born and raised here (So Cal) and know how to fit in. I also don't have to worry about being shot by hunters while I'm mountainbiking here, only by gang members if I go out to the store at night.?

@Condor5 thiats funny I understand was born Salinas ca bad city . It is the opposite here gang members are hunted here. By strong police and almost everyone constitutional carries.

@PinkyandtheBrain, my brother, who lives in Boise, takes his handgun when he RV's, but not usually on his person as a matter of course, as far as I know.

Yeah, I used to live next to Compton, and drove through South Central L.A. to go to work and back for years. Right through the area where the Watts riots had occurred just 4 short years prior.

She is gorgeous for sure. I hope that draws votes, even if it’s for the wrong reason.

I hope she wins. We need her here!!

Good sign. Unfortunately, in an area as this she has to remain some conservative mores like gun "rights". We have become too extreme and polarized. We need more moderation. So, yes lets take some of the good along with the bad.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with the 1st step, right?

@DaringDavid do you live in the United States? If you do we have freedom of speeach

Always nice to hear a candidate express a willingness to break away from the party platform - they should be serving their constituents, not the party.

Right, where did the notion of statesmanship go?

1

I'm not getting my hopes up. I have lost faith in human nature to do the right thing.

I wouldnt say I am fanatic, but, she will get my vote. She can't be any worse than the status quo. I think we need fresh new ideas in Idaho as well as the country. This is their future.

She sounds like a pretty balanced candidate to me.

@Condor5 Dont get me wrong. I like her a lot. Being a blue in the reddest of states has led to many disappointments for me at the polls!

What matters is who wins the elections on Nov. 6 and NOT who wins a poll today.

I put no faith whatsoever in polls.
