Nice place. How many fireplaces do you have? It looks very well maintained.

@flower_nut There are two, both downstairs, but before we bought the house in 1984 it had been renovated and the kitchen range had been taken out and also an upstairs fireplace. The house is now heated by oil central heating, but in the winter I can light a fire in either of the downstairs rooms. It was originally a farmhouse and had quite an acreage of land around it, by the time we bought it most of the land had been sold off and we just have a one acre field in which a neighbouring farmer grazes sheep.

Vinyl siding with wood shingles around the top. In the right side of the photo is a “man-lift” used for maintenance of some kind. You're right with the amount of maintenance required to make it look this good.
