Perhaps in my lifetime, I will be able to experience to some degree a world where labels don’t fragment us . I will stick to humanist because it seems to suggest; I can accept and do accept what others are about .

As one nobody piano player once said "I love humanity, I just can't stand people"

I like it, but Mormons are humanist too πŸ™‚

I use "Rational Evolutionist" or just "Evolutionist" when someone REALLY needs a label πŸ™‚

that's fair. i call myself an atheist because it means i either don't believe in any gods or (more accurate in my case) i believe there are no gods. it means nothing else, whatsoever. it doesn't mean i do or don't listen to others, do or don't respect others, do or don't accept others. it has nothing to do with any of that. it merely means i believe there are no gods. i do believe there are people.

Many get caught up in the right / wrong aspect of what their designation is about . Once upon a time I dwelled their ,but as time moved on ,thank goodness; I was able to be comfortable with my perspective and not have this need to debate or challenge others about theirs. Life in that aspect is easier.

@Outsideit67 indeed! i only mention it when it seems to be of interest πŸ™‚)
