Ways to get groceries delivered in a rural area.

There is no PeaPod - nor grocery store delivery.

Any possible suggestions appreciated.

Found a fella that transports for a reasonable fee. Yay!

Funny, living on an island we don't have that problem. What we do have are numerous CSA's (community supported agricultural. Several farms take subscriptions and package certain items in season, and deliver/or have customers pick them up.

Is there a neighborhood kid who could use a few bucks?

Oh if only there were! That kid would be soo busy. 😉

@RavenCT I had posted in Craigslist for some yard work, paying $10 hour. The kids were too busy here too I guess. But I did get responses from other people who needed some money.

Maybe use a store that lets you order your items online (Safeway out here does) & call an Uber or Lyft driver to deliver them? They are cheaper than taxis. You can also order boxes of non-perishables online & save money.

Grow your own veggies?...don't forget you pay a 3-34% markup on delivery.
