Trump's rhetoric and behavior almost perfectly matches those of Benito Mussolini, the originator of the fascist movement.

Yeah I've always seen Mussolini as a better match than Hitler. Fascism was neither a 20th century nor a particularly a German or Italian creation; Mussolini simply gave it the modern name. It really has its origins in the 19th century, where it was, as it now is, reactionary to the success of secular liberalism, mostly related to the Enlightenment.
