Omg ? thank you all so much for such positivity. I'm officially switched from aluminum to parchment paper. Yea my oven is new so if baking more will help me get used to it. ?? challenge accepted

Does your oven need recalibrating? I was having the same problem recently, and it turned out the oven was adjusted incorrectly.

Here are 13 cookie recipes that don't require baking. ?

Baking them for too long or oven is too hot

I used to have a friend that liked burnt peanut butter cookies. I've had problems getting chocolate chip cookies to come out right the last couple of times.

I think you're in good company. I understand Rachael Ray with all her cooking expertise can't make toast without setting it on fire; she has a "stunt toaster" who steps in to do it for her.

What kind of cookies? Oh... And use parchment paper underneath them and you won't burn them again!

They would've been chocolate chip ?.

@Jaed cookie dough is so good!! Lol. Next time. If it makes you feel any better when dinner is ready at my house, my kids’ friends leave. ?

@BeccaVa, @Jaed Becca... At first I thought you were someone who knew me when I saw the mention of cookie dough. When I was a little kid and my sister would babysit... She would make us chocolate chip cookie dough without the chips... We'd eat the smaller batch before our parents got home... Raw and uncooked. I loved every minute of it and always remember those days with a big smile on my face!

Jaed... My guess is less flower and, like I said, try the parchment paper. My ex used it all the time and her cookies always were perfect! She left a roll here and I use it on occasion. The stuff is like magic!

@RiverRick I cannot go without parchment paper in my kitchen! I use it for many things.

It could be that the oven is to blame. ?

So your oven may be hotter than normal. Use the suggested time and set the timer short of that time and check it. Over time you can figure it out.

An in-oven thermometer is cheap and very helpful too.

Sounds like a kitchen timer would be a worthwhile investment
