I am new here, saw a notice n FB. I had no idea that this was also a dating site, bur don't give a damn. There used to be a site called EON that had many,many members. We all mourned when it folded. You could advertise this site using the EON reference. Lots of people will join. Will there be cake and ice cream at some point level? Looking forward to it.

I guess "recruit" was the wrong word to use. I try to convince people that it's not a scam and not just for dating. That is some times the difficult part.

New members to what? This site? I don't know what the numbers are, but it's thousands so far. I think that's pretty good for a new agnostic/atheist site.

Besides "sharing" on social media, are you actively trying to "recruit" members? If yes, why?

I have been telling lime minded people about the site. Most are stuck on the "it's dating site" and completely disregard that it's more about community. It actually took me about a month before I decided to join.

@JoeMastle Ahhh....y'know, I have found that, as odd as it is to me (truly!), some people cannot be bothered with online "communities." I think they just don't get it; or don't like to type; or don't like to read. I dunno.

I just tell people how much I enjoy the site, and send them the link if they show interest. It is more of a suggestion than a recruitment

I have told only one of my friends about this site. I haven't tried 'recruiting' anyone.

Nor do I intend to recruit anyone. If someone mentions anything about their skepticism concerning religion, I would suggest it however along with this site.

Go to the Atheists groups in FB...also those in Spanish....and you will get members. I discovered this groi\up in FB....and trust me I post.

I posted on Facebook but I've mostly only family on there and they are not about to join. Believers...

I do have a pal who might enjoy this. Thank you for posting. I'll text him now.

You just inspired me to send an e-mail to the one avowed atheist I know. He probably won't join, but maybe.

@BlueWave I'm not so sure that Joe will either but I did reach him and he sounded interested. I told him it's my little corner of sanity. 🙂

I assume promotions cost money, but you're not charging for membership here. Should we assume you'll be charging money someday, and if so, do you have an approximate date when? Will we "charter members" get a discount? 😉
