I had a stroke in my late 30s that left me with a seizure disorder and debilitating migraines. The seizures manifest in odd ways, often in the wee hours of the night, and are usually accompanied by an intense unusual olfactory hallucination. Sometimes this is pleasant, as when it came in the form of cherry pipe tobacco, but usually it is noxious-the smell of blood or burning electrical wire or other odors. I know that if I awaken to an an overwhelming stench and confusion, then I've had a seizure. (Miss P also alerts me. She's not an official seizure dog but has trained herself to be one. She awakens me every time or gets in my face in the daytime, without fail since a small pup. Good dog!)

Aw, she's so sweet! So nice that you have.her... I'm relating to your chronic health challenges as I have some of my own, brought upon by an illness last year. It's a challenge to adjust to a new way of being in the world, so I say more power to you that you have her.

My heart goes out to you with your challenge...thanks for sharing your condition. I will always hold you 'up' whenever, I see your pic! What would we do without our animal friends, too?
