Religions were / are a major basis for wars over possession and control of scarce resources. The scarcer the resources related to human needs and wants the more religion that tends to be prevalent and the more hatred and war that results. It is always, and invariably, a bigoted us versus them, firmly believed to confer possessive and controlling right to the bigoted membership, and if the membership feels that they do not have enough of what they claim inalienable god given right to, then they claim the inalienable god given right to take it from everyone and anyone else who is not a member. That is unless and until secular governments intervene and suppress religions tendencies and practices.

If we could cage them all and sell Tickets to the Shit Throwing Show we could pay the National Debt off in just a month of PPV sales and live show tickets. We would need All the Rust Belt States to become holding pens for the Circus. We could House ALL the Homeless in the "church" properties and feed /Employ them with ALL with the churches and "leaders" assets. I mite suggest that the Pope and Joel Osteen be the first "Shit Throwing Show" Ticket! Till this comes to pass I will Resist!
