played at my father's funeral. i wasn't there. he died in florida, and i was in japan.
special song for me and my late best friend.
i sang this at my mother's funeral on behalf of my cousin anna, who couldn't be there and asked me to sing it for her.
i think of a former lover. i was singing this as we made love (i'm crazy that way) and he asked me "do i have to go?" english was not his first language.
there's more but that will do, right?

Many songs bring back memories of people and places. The first one that came to mind upon reading this post is Carly Simon's, "You're So Vain." It reminds me of my first wife, while we were dating, who would sing along with the song and point at me every time the words, "you probably think this song is about you", came up. It bothered me back then, but it brings a smile to my face now.
