Okay folks what is The Classic Atheist Sunday?

Is it vibrators and wine?

A decadent brunch?

We know where we aren't - so how do we spend the day!? Feel free to expound in the comment section.

A connoisseur I see!

@RavenCT 18 years working in kitchens, from dishwasher to executive chef, taught me a few things.mmmmmmm foood!

Holy shit! Are you eating small children in a wine reduction on Sundays? Say it isn't so! ; )

@txtreehugger a beurre rouge..or a bernaise..depends on the cut of meat..
Also I do my own butchering..

sunday is not meaningful to all atheists. many of us were never christians.

genessa Level 8 Nov 18, 2018

For some it's simply a day off from work. I was thinking of that too. smile009.gif

@RavenCT i have met a surprising number of christians who go to church on wednesday night. i never did learn why. they went after work.... i don't know if they considered it the seventh day or just didn't like the sunday-morning rush hour or what. maybe they just didn't like criminal minds.

@genessa As a Roman Catholic we often went on Saturday nights. Either 4:30 pm or 6 pm. Hated that a lot.

Maybe it's why I enjoy Movie nights so much now? lol They are held later and no one makes me! (And I can sleep in on Sunday too!).

Sunday Mass was always at 10 am. As a teenager that was horrifying.

@RavenCT oh i bet! now, my family never went to shul even on the high holiday, except for weddings and bar mitzvahs. we always slept in on weekends!

When I was young and stores were closed on Sundays it was a bother for us that had Saturday Sabbath. Shul on Friday and Saturday nights for me.

@AmiSue i was never religious (well, a little bit one year, age 14, sort of kind of) but yeah! blue laws suck! i've written about them. lemme see if i can find the link to that page. i apologize in advance about the state of my site. i have health issues. i have not worked on it for ages.

found it! []

@genessa Thanks for the share!

@AmiSue enjoy!

Torn between "the great outdoors" and a good book. Finally got around to reading. "The Fault In Our Stars" today. That's a good Sunday smile001.gif

How did I forget books? Books and cats.... smile009.gif

Remember ladies, if your vibrator whines, it's time to replace either the batteries or the whole thing entirely.

Exactly what happened with my last ex?

Usually answering silly polls on Agnostic because I'm addicted & don't have a Real Life any more. Oh, that & Bar-B-Qing toddlers, of course!

I'm at the trail head to Benton falls, putting my phone in my pack as I type this. Hoping to find some babies to munch on so Sam and I can have a snack when we get there!

being a whovian,at least as long as bbca maintains its current schedule i still find sunday mornings insignificant but sunday nights, woo who!

genessa Level 8 Nov 18, 2018

slow all day.

hankster Level 9 Nov 18, 2018

I presume most of us, like me, do what everyone else does with the exception of attending church. I have never had a religion so my normal Sunday has been much the same for a long time....after breakfast go buy the Sunday paper (The Sunday Times) and spend much of the rest of the day reading it, indoors at this time of the the summer outside in the garden. Have glass of wine or a G &T before dinner (I like to cook something really nice on Sundays as this is a hangover from when husband and family were all here and we made a point of a long family meal, sometimes with guests), today I am having salmon drizzled with balsamic and honey and coated in herbs, baby boiled potatoes and a broccoli/cauliflower/carrot medley....Creme Caramel and fresh strawberries for dessert. After dinner, I will watch some TV and turn my attention to the 2 devilishly difficult crosswords in the ST and probably be back on here just before bedtime. Now, just prior to dinner I am going to FaceTime my son and two grandsons in bye for now.

I have what a friend calls "A faulty eidetic memory" - there are certain things I remember complete with visuals. This is one of them. Oh and one more.

RavenCT Level 9 Nov 18, 2018

I picked eating babies. Just because. Actually online with my cats nearby. ?❤️

Sydland Level 7 Nov 18, 2018

Oh, and vibrators and wine?????
You deranged godless atheist.

Vibrators and wine, you crack me up. I'm doing school work but I would rather be having a decadent brunch or out in nature. A movie or netflix day is always great too. No shopping.

Roxi Level 5 Nov 18, 2018

I just remembered to post the memes that I recall. You should steal them. lol

@RavenCT Your post did make more sense after I saw the meme lol.

For me - stoned, drunk, and fornicating!

I spent 9 hours cleaning up leaves

ScubaWags Level 6 Nov 18, 2018

This was the first thing I saw after a long time away from the site. Cracked me up. So thanks.

Oh and welcome back!!

Grocery shopping in the morning.
A little reading.
Football and hookah.

Hastur Level 7 Nov 18, 2018

What's in the hookah? smile009.gif

@RavenCT A mix of vanilla and coffee shisha. Honest smile009.gif

It's just another day, only with football

Generally go on a run with my Brothers with no particular destination in mind. A pitstop in a bar or two in order to stay hydrated and eventually end up at the club house for a party.

vmsmith Level 2 Nov 27, 2018

How about take a walk to the convenience store for coffee and the newspaper, while taping "Meet The Press" then watch MTP and after one PM watch Football.

nicknotes Level 8 Nov 27, 2018

I'd forgotten how sports are a Sunday "religion" all of their own! smile009.gif

I mean do I have to choose?

Minta79 Level 7 Nov 27, 2018

Nope - you do not! So many Sundays.... smile009.gif

for me it's a longer walk with my dog and and preferably someone to have a conversation with or remain silent as well. Reading, meditating, going to a concert, have coffee or tea with people I know or want to know. These sort of things.

wischt Level 1 Nov 19, 2018

Now that is a lovely day!

Usually a trip to the gun range. PEW PEW!!! Very therapeutic and I am becoming a better shot.

MattW Level 5 Nov 19, 2018

Make sure to wear your eye protection and a hat! Ask me about having long thick hair and not wearing a hat. A few panicked moments ensued. Live and learn. smile009.gif It's now packed in my case.

@RavenCT Always eyes and ears, no hat needed here. I do have a .45 diameter burn on my collarbone though.

@MattW Yup! I figured that part out faster. Girl parts. "Oh look I saved an M&M for later!". That was a forewarning. Always a jean jacket or leather to shoot. smile009.gif

It's a good breakfast in an empty cafe and a first beer at 12:00 with a good book!!

AArealist Level 4 Nov 18, 2018

Books are definitely a first choice and should have been in the poll! smile009.gif
