I just wanted to introduce you to my daughter. She'll be attending the IMTA (International Modeling & Talent Association) conference in January. Do you think she's got what it takes?, or am I just partial.

The song is one of my favorites from the movie Hair Spray. If you've seen it, you'll know that Queen Latifa was a most powerful character in this adaptation and I thank her, immensely, for giving my daughter the courage to stand in front of her peers (she has strong social anxiety) and sing with her soul.

She sounds OK but the when I hear that song I compare it to Queen Latifah

also, the acoustics (room she is performing in) make an honest analyses less then reliable. As for the modeling component, there is not enough video quality to form an opinion, that, and I have no experience to make such an assessment.

Sounds like she has talent!

Tonal quality is definitely there, hard to catch nuances from that recording.

Sadly, I wasn't there, when she performed, and the acoustics in the area were lax, at best...but every time she sings this song, I bawl like a baby...

I did the IMTA convention a few years back. Not the modeling side, of course, but the competition on the modeling side is fierce. If you're not tall, it doesn't matter how beautiful you are. You don't stand a chance.

Thankfully, she's not interested in modeling (too short), and the acting she can do, but it's not her first love. Singing is her first love and that's why she's going.

That's what I went for. I did ok. A couple of honorable mentions. Didn't finish in the top third though.
