Al Gore in his town hall, if I remember right with Anderson Cooper, said: “It appears that things take a long time to happen but when they do they happens very fast.” Gay rights certainly hit a tipping point and things came together very quickly. I’m an old fart and I would sure love to see it fundamentalist religion fall long before 2030. I just finished reading Dan Brown’s “Origin”. It’s about the rise of AI and the fall of religion as we know it. I’m waiting to see how it will be accepted and what conversations it will spark

In my opinion, this is what terrifies the Evangelicals and Dominionists here in the US. And, it is why they are doing all they can to create a government that will force their beliefs onto others. Given the chance they will be no better than the Taliban, et al. We must deny them that chance.

We will be better off as a society, but a humanistic type philosophy is the way to go. Yes, I want to see religion disappear and yes, that will improve conditions for so many people. But, we also have to make sure that instead of a preparing for death centered society, we develop a more making life better for everyone society.
