Compounded by that fact that Texas is so big, they drive the writing of K-12 school books.

It is trending purple and will probably be blue in a decade. Keeping my fingers crossed. There is a level of ignorance in parts of this state that rivals the deep South.

I sometimes question just what the US will look like in a decade, will it be more like the Europe Union with a group of splinter states working loosely together or will it even exist at all?

@Surfpirate I agree.

I am from Dallass, Texass and am totally ashamed of the place.

I know this all too well. Somebody throw me a line?

Just remember, Thomas Jefferson believed that the Constitution should be rewritten every 20 years so that past generations couldn't hold back future ones.

Certainly amendments need to be made in order to keep pace with progress but referencing Moses as a basis for the US Constitution is regressive not progressive. Hammurabi would be a better basis for the document's lawgiver source.

Texas may be America's asshole but I live in America's penis so who am I to judge? Although it has gotten old that all the dumbest shit seems to always come out of Texas and/or Florida. It's embarrassing after awhile.

Its to be expected by broad asses, and small brain officials to make those kind of changes.

I guess it is to be expected from a state that elected Ted Cruz over Beto O'Rourke. The state does seem to becoming less red, so maybe there is hope for the future.

Moses influencing our Founding Fathers and therefore was involved in our laws. That idea is absolutely and totally insane!

Welcome to life in the buybull belt. I have sons in JH and HS and haven’t seen any religious references yet. I’d be the first one at the superintendents office.

You crazy Canuck! lol
