Immediately following the gluttonous gorge-fest that is USA "Thanksgiving" (yeah, right ... thanks for all your land, real Americans), Black Friday is the most sickening glorification of consumerism anywhere on our beleaguered planet. It is the antithesis of my favourite observance, Buy Nothing Day. Originally held on Sep 22, Buy Nothing Day has since been moved to coincide with the most vulgar shopping day of the year. Buy Nothing Day started in Canada in 1992 and is now celebrated in 65 countries around the world! Happy Buy Nothing Day, everyone! 😀

Everybody has a price, even you but nobody has offered you enough so far.

I've avoided stores for the past few decades during the greed that runs rampant with the Christians during this time of year. Now that on-line is the best way to shop (for me anyway), I can do whatever, whenever.

Totally agree. More car accidents happen on Black Friday too.
