France and Germany are both quite large so where exactly will you be? Netherlands; the Delft factory and Anne Frank's house.

The basement of the Louvre is where they keep the antiquities - it's my favorite part of the museum, and if you go early, there are no crowds down there. (in Paris)

That sounds perfect.

Notre Dame in Paris, still the most impressive building I've seen but more importantly, get a crepe from the cart on the corner across the street to the left as you face the front of Notre Dame...amazing! Have fun. Oh yeah, get a museum pass for Paris either before you go or at the airport...gets you past the lines

Good to know. Thanks. I love museums.

Make time for wandering. Some of my most enduring and endearing travel memories are of pleasant surprises, unexpected discoveries, and chance meetings!

I recommend taking the TGV (speed train) anywhere in France for a day. It runs through rural France which is very beautiful.

If you enjoy art, give yourself the option of several days in the Louvre. There is way too much to see there in just one day.

I've been to all of these places.

Germany: Stuttgart, Munich, Berlin, Rothenburg, Dorsten, Zwickau, etc.

France: Versailles, Paris, Calais, Nice

Switzerland: Bern, Zurich, Lucerne, Liechtenstein, Geneva... The Alps are majestic!

The Netherlands: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague

No specific place in any of these countries I recommend. They're all beautiful. Drive if you can. I enjoyed my trips driving or catching a train to many of these places!
