16 . Never was a home tho. Slept in abandoned cars as a child. But....... It made me who I am. Just as your past has. Soooo How old were you?

  1. I was not a spoilt child. The rent in that town was insane even for someone working full-time. This was in 2000.

I was 18 when I left home to go to an out-of-state university. Never went back except to visit, and to care for my mother when she was dying.

The first time I left home, I was 12 years old, and returned on my own. The second time, I was 15 years old, and forced by the legal system to return. The third time, I was 18 years old, and never returned.

18 years 2 months. Followed by the most entertaining and decadent 6 months. Memories that have kept me going through grandmotherhood.

Went away for college and never turned back.... my folks were ok with it and they were always very, I mean very supportive (I am not talking about money )
