If this is a 'possum I'll be a bobtailed raccoon. Does australia and/or the UK have opposii (sic) that look disney cute like this, or is this some kinda tapier, lemur, slow loris sorta jungle creature? Ours look like giant, terrifying rats. Nevertheless, positive marsupial doesn't have the same ring to it.

That’s a wallbomberbatatee. Don’t let the cute looks fool you. In Nam, I saw them wipe out whole villages, suckerpunching hapless residents with those tiny fists. I still have nightmares.

I am highly offended by this post. HARRUMPH,harrumph, harrumph....

Haha apologies, I forgot we do have at least one cute opposum roaming about, and Im a big fan of the species in theory, although now that Im noticing the winged beast in your avatar Im still pretty scared. It's the bald tail that begs the rat comparison, but it's the teeth and claws that terrify. Youre welcomed to transition to an aussie opposum but we love you just the way you are 🙂

I believe that is an Australian possum. They are called possums and are related to the opossum in North America.

Yeah I always found it interesting that appalachia has a native marsupial in our midst. I wish ours were half that cute though lol.

@Wurlitzer There are several sorts in S, America, but none here in Europe, I think they do not like ice ages or mean people.
