I think it all depends. What if you're in love with a fiction character played by a real person? For example, Sam and Dean Winchester are the two most gorgeous men in the world to me, but they're also real people. A few years ago I saw pictures of Harry Potter doing a Broadway play where he was nekked (It was the actor, but he's still Harry Potter to me)... And while he was cute in the pictures, I felt extremely skeevy for thinking so, and moved on to the next Website.

As a writer, I've written characters that I have fallen in love with, but I don't know how I'd feel if I developed any kind of crush on them. Though if someone like that showed up in my life, I'd be ecstatic, but also freaked out.
