Not to philosophize too much, but I imagine the real issue a lot of religionists have is the fallacy of thought that Alfred North Whitehead referred to as the "fallacy of misplaced concreteness". Basically, they believe things like Platonic Ideals are real, and not entirely philosophical.

Your definition of the word 'real' and theirs is definitely not the same. That is just like when Donald says something and you think he actually is telling the truth.

That's the problem with religion. They confuse their genres. They don't know the difference between reality and mythology.
