I was having a perfectly lovely morning.....until I paid bills. Feels like I'll never catch up.

If anyone needs me I'll be crying in fetal position in my blanket fort.

Thanks to all of you guys for sharing your pain. I feel much better now that I know I'm in good company

I know that feeling.

This morning I went to the ATM to get money to pay the cub scouts dues. Declined, so I go inside (the money is there). Someone reported my card stolen (I love this game, we play it every 3 or 4 months it seems, my ex-husband is a petty thing), so I get that straightened out and the clerk says "would you like to go ahead and pay your mortgage?" No. No, I would fucking not. But, of course I do. And between that and cub scouts, I'm going to be broke until the end of time.

Wow, guess I should be grateful not to have to deal with a petty ex!

It just takes time. I am less than $100 away from paying off a washer, dryer, dishwasher and refrigerator that I no longer own. It's taken just over 5 years. But I did it.

Sigh, I feel your pain. It seems to be a never ending hole I shovel euros in, but it's never enough. Just had to write an email to my electric suppliers telling them to wait a week for payment. That's my way of dealing with it, I prioritize and tell people when the money will turn up. Pay day on Monday !!
Bill day on Tuesday.....

That will be my position shortly.

I totally know how that is. Owning a home and a business, it seems all we do is pay bills, taxes, insurance, and the costs of supplies and repairs. It's like trying to catch up with a runaway train some days.

Ya,seems every pay increases we get,the costs go up in proportion.....

Income versus lifestyle. Nasty game we play.

Yeah, my lifestyle is pretty nonexistent

I feel your pain. I know how hard that is.

Oh Miracle, its only money. Hugs...I'll send you a jar of chutney

You could sell everything and live in a van down by the river. a little motivational speaking on the side..

I know the feeling. I was just doing the same thing.

Sounds like me this year. At least we both are in s caring community. Hugs

Hugs back, thankfully my kids are older and understand Christmas will be slim this year

@Marcie1974 That helps, I'm sure. I hope that things get better for you financially in 2019.

Join the club!!

I'm in a similar position living paycheck to paycheck but not needing to borrow. I have been there though and I empathize.

Aw. There. There.

I am in the same boat...ahem...fort.

Had the thought of cashing out my life insurance........glimmer of hope.........only to be dashed by a no-cash value policy.

Really don't want to ask my parents for more money.

@Marcie1974 I empathize.

I really really do.

@Donotbelieve thanks, I’m very fortunate to have my parents if needed

@Marcie1974 That is something.

@Donotbelieve trying to count my “blessings”
