Yes, I can understand that Piratefish. A stupid, thoughtless comment by religious people.

So, is still a 'gift' of this Sky Fairy when someone is born disabled, deaf, mute, blind or has their internal organs on the outside their body, etc, etc.?
What a warped, cruel and sadistic BASTARD of the first order this Sky Fairy must truly be.

My son attributes it to his father, who forced him to take music lessons in middle school, for one year, then he could decide. After one year he threw away his violin, picked up a guitar, and never put it down.

I’m dreadful with music, but I blame god, well, at least one god...

I'm not musically talented either, but I have had credit for other abilities I have worked long and hard to master attributed to someone else's fake god, and it always angers me.

Yes, we all have talents and strengths developed by many natural consequences, whether genes, necessity, experiences, exposure to things we're passionate about, self discovery and perhaps the encouragement of others. It's up to us to discover these talents and strengths within ourselves and nurture them best we can, whether for our own pleasure, or to share with the world.

If one is a success using talents and strengths, it's usually because one has worked at improvement, and perhaps even sacrificed other things toward the goal of excellence in their talent of choice. Credit where credit is due.

One who has used their talents for good in this world should not be stripped of pride in their own work by crediting a mythological entity, unless it was truly belief in that supernatural entity they themselves credit for their success, which people do all the time.
