Because of the wicked may try to come in taint it’s purity or it’s one of those neighborhoods where really rich white people live and there’s a guard who’s like if you’re not on the list you can’t come in and I’ll call the cops.

But it could also be a prison a place where you’re confined and maintained until you’re righteous enough to be an angel or some bullshit either way hell has a gate too so once again... keeping out or keeping in?

Heaven's gate and wall is to keep everyone inside. God knew that after 10,000 years of singing his praises some would like to escape. Actually, just a week or two should do it.
