California hero only charging about $1000 a month for fire victims to live in tiny sheds. That's some really high rent for us rural folks. Don't they still have house lots they can move sheds into? [pressdemocrat.com]
I live in an interesting area. There are two or three bedroom houses available for $800 - 1200/month, and a few miles away a 1 bedroom apartment above the ground floor will command $1500-1800. It all depends on the zip code.
Still, the numbers amaze me.
Those House lots are currently deemed dangerous until they have been cleaned. So after they are cleaned the infrasructure would have to be re certified and approved for habitation. All of this takes tens of thousands of dollars and time. It is sad to know that there will be those who take advantage of peoples plight to advance their financial goals without having financial compassion for thier fellows.
It is called greed and is the foundation of 'mercan capitalism.
Now, run tell that.
It’s called “supply and demand” and “price discovery”.
Anything other than freedom is just sick, and hurts people.
Just callin’ It like it is.
