Next time, try 2 or more tablespoons of oil.

??? Oil ???

@Lillyfield41 Whichever cooking oil you prefer. The digestion process produces heat. I'm pretty sure this was the trick with chicken soup in the last century, before they bred most of the fat out of the chickens.

What is behind the red door … or under the rock pile 😀 Ya did good!

...here's what I checked out our last sunny day ... Independence Virginia!

I think behind the red door is controls for irrigation system?? Door was locked. 😟

Under the rock pile was a dead body. It was definitely a grave marker. There were some really fantastic minimalist stones marking graves as well as crazy ornate ones. 🙂

Love that architecture.

Get in bed with another warm body....that always works. Have fun!

Drink a hot beverage. Wear a warm vest. Use a heating pad. Sleep under a down comforter.

Whenever I get deeply chilled, it takes me 24 hours to warm up my core. I have the insulating capacity of a grasshopper.

I'm good now. Two 80lb dogs snuggled up with me. ?

@Lillyfield41 I was going to suggest pets if no humans were about. I see you are covered! Good job! Phew.
Nice photos too!

@Lillyfield41

Glad to hear that.

Hot/warm bath ~

Sorry cannot think of a smart answer, when my feet get cold I am cold, takes a long time to warm them. Don't get old!

A very hot shower,or bath will get you warmed up quickly.

Nope. I thought so too. But i got snuggled up with the dogs and some coffee. I'm much better now. ?

I've done such things, and the rewards were great - though, like you, sometimes chilled to the absolute bones !! Hot tea, or chocolate, and lots of clothes and blankets worked eventually !

Oh ... and chocolate.

I have two dogs and hot coffee. Yes; reward is greater than the chill. ?

Perfectly lovely. The fog really adds to the charm...

No rain here, but I'm reminded of my morning: ice (and puppy) on the Yellowstone River:

Love that pic of your pup. ?
