I don't have the words to fully illustrate How much I agree with that.
But I can at least say That I volunteer at a homeless shelter most of the week,
I was homeless once, so I know what it's like. but mostly i remember how some really reached out to help.
Since then I've made part of my life to do the same.

My friend and a band of brothers rescued me from a desperate situation my soon to be ex husband (separated a year but not legally divorced) left me in and i am eternally grateful. I try to pay it forward..and also pay it back.

My parents immigrated to Canada with three young children and not much else. They had a lot of community support. I have been very fortunate in life and I realize the importance of paying it forward. It also gives me an an opportunity to show my children the importance of community service.

I forget now if it was my Dad or my uncle who told me the way you pay your parents back is to pass it on to your kids. I think that holds true outside of the family as well.

I agree with the principle. I was already caught in situations that friends needed me and I couldn't help. There are many circumstances in life th we have to deal with.
