Ok its Boxing Day, I am bored. I have until 7th Jan off my main job and only two shifts booked in my second job. I seriously can't imagine how people cope who don't work. It'd drive me batty. I hate TV too. How does boredom affect you?

Hmmmm....time off? Read, go for a walk, catch up with friends in the village over a coffee, read. That's my idea of down time !

i don't work because i cannot work. i wish i could but i cannot. i do not get bored. i get sleepy and exhausted, am in pain and depressed, and put upon to make ends meet and keep the place livable while also taking care of my alzheimer's-afflicted guy. bored, no.

You have much to do and being a carer is a fulltime responsibility.

@Amisja ah yeah tell me about it lol. but i still favor sleep, out of all possible activities.

"Things expand to fill the space provided" ......it's some kind of universal law, trust me!

I read a great deal. I also enjoy just getting outside on day hikes... and there are alwasy things that need to be done around the house or in the yard.

I read for a while too. Now just sat around. House is clean.

@OwlInASack It is true. Fro soem people when they are bored they clean. My oldest sister comes to visit and the house i s cleaner after she leaves than it was before she came.
