Does anyone else see this as a part of the Master - Slave dynamic. I have for years and find that relationships that are not abusive each is an equal, not taken for granted, and a true friend. There is much to the dynamics of the Master - Slave relationship that come to bring much into relationships, with each other, with friends, with Politics.

These would be extreme ends of the abusive scale.....it does not have to get this intense to be "abuse"!
Listen to your insides, if you feel that bereft, cold, lonely feeling even though "he's such a wonderful guy" & " you are lucky to have him" ...and you cannot figure out why you aren't happy, you Must be a mess........no, you are in a relationship that is good for your partner, terrible for you!

Jeez Louise, that'd be classed as Domestic Violence in any CIVILIZED Western Society.

Are we really civilized, or are some of us just more evolved than others.

@dalefvictor I like to think that those of us who have shed the yoke of religions have evolved, both morally, ethically and psychologically, than those who have remained shackled to the superstitions that comprise religions.

Thank you! This clarifies some of my own thoughts. This is a clear and concise way of saying it. 🙂
