Boo hoo, I tried, really I did. But it feels like I can't win. (Not crying out, just cranky) After a number of up and downs, me and my lady friend split, on New Years Eve no less. Seems typical, doesn't it? So many obstacles and irritabilities from both sides. Anyway...carry on.

Holidays up the stress levels, making relationships already on edge , crumble..
Once you get thru the grieving process, hopefully you can start to see the positives (meeting new people, getting your house in order, seeing friends, doing what you want, etc etc)

It's difficult for me to forget Barbara dumped a week prior to New Year's Eve. I was going to party because it was 1999 going into 2000. There were no fall back plans when I got dumped by e-mail. I was so depressed I stayed home for New Year's Eve.
Barbara didn't want much to continue our affair. All I had to do was convert to fundamentalist Christianity, drop out of college and move to a small southern Alabama town (Atmore). She was worried what people would think if I kept up overnight visits.
Six months later she was feeling lonesome and horny. She contacted me and said she was willing to reconsider.
I was having another affair with younger woman. Petunia wants to stay home on New Year's Eve. Saves some bucks but I want to go out and party.
Meh. Not winning on the party front.

Take your time. Don't rush into any relationships, learn to love yourself, look at what went wrong and what part you had to play in that, what could you have done differently. Just chill for now.

He should talk to more women until one of them wants to go out with him. Most guys who complain they can't get a relationship going don't go out of their way to introduce themselves to other women.
When it all goes south, find another one anyway.

@Jolanta Nobody ever claims to know EVERYTHING about relationships. Give these assembled masses a comprehensive list of all the things you know on the subject. It well help validate your implied claim you're the one who knows all things about all relationships. Perhaps you could expostulate about lunar influences on relationships with women troubled by substance abuse.
My theory on lunar influences and relationships is incomplete.Round it out for me while the moon wanes. Tequila will be available.
