Comfort. (Yes, I know this was directed at women, just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents? )
I am glad to hear from the guys as well.
Dressing up for me is long pants instead of shorts. & if it's something really special shoes other than runners or sandals.
I wear what makes me feel beautiful for myself. I could care less about comfort, that’s for home.
I used to dress up for orchestra and band concerts (performing), or weddings (photographing). Haven't performed in years and last few weddings I shot, didn't bother breaking out the fancy clothing.
BS. Women dress up for men, especially when they go out looking for a mate, Mr. Right, Mr. Right Now. Same thing for men. But, on any other occasions, this picture is more or less spot on.
I don't dress for anything other than myself or for the weather. Here in Wyoming, the weather will dictate how I dress, and that's usually layered.
If it ain't comfortable, I ain't wearin' it.
