Why are Right wing religious people more in your face?
We are fortunate to live in a town that is 75% Dem and more than 50% "None" on the religious side. Yet when you walk around, you may feel the town is 60-70% Republican and pretty religious. Why? Well I have figured it out. Most Dems and Agnositcs really do not openly show their views however it is not the case of religious and right wingers. So the only things you may see or hear are those views. Now when a local church applied for a permit, the town submitted it to vote is it was denied at 75%! So there is hope but I think Atheists should be able to speak up as much as religious people without a fear of repercussion. In your opinion how will that happen?

There was a report on NPR this afternoon that was about all the discrimination that Christians were feeling around the world. India was one place Christians felt they were in danger. It boggles my mind that these people, many of whom think nothing about discriminating against others complain about blow back against them. I am so happy we have groups like FFRF and the Humanists to turn on the heat against these insane people. I sent in a letter today asking how would the writers of crank mail feel if they knew 33,000 people were reading their ramblings and laughing. It is incredible with these people.

I agree that when they are in minority they may be discriminated against but in the rest of the world, they discriminate against others and try to impose their religion. If they were silent, I am sure it would go better for all.

@AlexRam Yes, but it also happens here. Ken Ham wrote a letter to schools complaining that FFRF was 'unjustifiably' keeping public school students away from his ark. Look at the so called war on christmass.

I have better things to do with my time than run around waving my atheist flag!

I don't think "right wing" has anything to do with it really, I know plenty of liberals that are in your face religious as well.Well, at least here in Florida.

@TheAstroChuck I agree.

I guess it depends. Here most Dems only put a sign up at election time and that is when you notice the sea of . The rest of the year there is signage. On the other hand there will be signs of "Sin" Build a wall Trump hanging out on Pick-ups and lawns year round.

I agree with you. Things won't change unless atheists and agnostics claim themselves. The number of non religious is growing every year but the churches have the money and the mic.
