Libertarians support the rights of the smallest minority the individual. This particular person isn't very bright, he does odd jobs for food and housing and cannot buy any health insurance. He becomes very ill and is dying. Under your system what would you do for him other than let him die?

Sealioning (also spelled sea-lioning and sea lioning) is a type of trolling or harassment which consists of pursuing people with persistent requests for evidence or repeated questions, while maintaining a pretense of civility.[1][2][3] The troll pretends ignorance and feigns politeness, so that if the target is provoked into making an angry response, the troll can then act as the aggrieved party.[4][5] Sealioning can be performed by a single troll or by multiple ones acting in concert.[6] The technique of sealioning has been compared to the Gish gallop and metaphorically described as a denial-of-service attack targeted at human beings.[6] [en.wikipedia.org]

Quite a few members from the gun control group on here appear to be fond of sealioning...

Oh boy, first it was conservatives you were venting on about, now I guess it's the libertarians turn, unreal...

He's like a garbage truck running around the site looking for a place to dump his garbage.

Come on Spike you can do this. Inform me please.

your first sentence is untrue. libertarians support the rights of an even smaller minority than the individual. a libertarian supports the rights of him/herself and no one else, and sometimes can't really distinguish what those are from what anything else is. it's not my system and never will be.

There is Medicaid for poverty-level individuals. I have a friend currently utilizing Medicaid. It serves her well enough.

@maturin1919 Oh, he dies - or moves to Canada - or starts a GoFundMe. Ok, now I see where this guy is going. Please start these posts with, "In a hypothetical utopia where Libertarians have control..."

Not under the libertarian model

As I stated in your last post.
I have and always will try to help as much as I can.
My only system, is Empathy, and compassion.

Damn a Political stance.

Well said, I agree.

@SpikeTalon Then you are not a true libertarian and that is great. How are you doingSpike?

@Marine My overall views do align with the Libertarians, but I am not registered with any political party, I don't care for identity politics much. I'm doing okay, hope all is going good for you. So I agreed with his last comment, a political stance should not matter in such a situation.

@SpikeTalon See you on later comments

Stop asking ridiculous questions and do the research yourself.
You are just trying to cause trouble and divisiveness because you have some personal ax to grind.
It's annoying and borders on trolling.
Don't be "That" person.

You do not need to take part or even read the the posts. I am trying to understand their position and wish they and you would not take such a defensive position. Have a nice day.

@Marine Asking ridiculous hypothetical questions is NOT how you learn their position. If you are sincere, then go to [lp.org]
and your state LP here -- [lpct.org]
and go to their FB page here -- [facebook.com]
and ask your questions -- real questions, not hypothetical BS questions

@SkotlandSkye Went there i guess the point was that as a libertarian you would have been prepared for this shutdown and could outlive it.. I am not sure exactly what the point was to be made. Please explain.

@SkotlandSkye This is a real question and this person lives in Ma.I would be interested how you would handle this .

@Marine already answered.

The Libertarian platform is clear that such people should be taken care of by their families, faith communities, charities, and fund-raisers.

As a Libertarian, I would seek to find him support services and free clinics to help him. I may also start a goFundme on his behalf and implore the local charities and businesses to help.

If you saw how many people in my area have to raise money through donations for everything from funerals to housing, you would realize this is not uncommon practice.

Hurricanes bring in millions of donations as do all other natural disasters. There are everything from pancake dinners to money collections at convenience stores to help individuals.

Do you NOT believe that people are charitable?

Someone needs to guide these people however. As in my example (see Above) He has no one, to care for him. This is a function that government does provide poorly at this time but at least there is something there.PS. I am not a garbageman rather a person of opinions which I am able to defend which it appears you are unable to do. However still have a nice afternoon.

@Marine I defended it. You refuse to actually listen or perhaps it’s beyond your ability to comprehend.

@SkotlandSkye Where?

@Marine above and in other threads.

@SkotlandSkye That was great if you can fend for yourself but the person I described cannot and has no one to look after him. except the state which does not exist in a libertarian platform.
