Wasn't there paper straws in hospitals eons ago? Seems like I remember them from my younger sister being hospitalized.

I have a plastic one that also has a spoon at the end and a clip...I stick it in the dishwasher and it seems to come out clean each time, but I mostly use it for water or iced tea.

Not sure where I got them since I have had them for over ten years...Target, maybe.

I keep a bunch in the car for tall drinks. They are great but be sure to get a brush to clean them with. And try not to make the mistake I’ve made, which is to throw them out! Defeats the purpose

They suck!

Am I really that weird? Straws seem like an amusement for children. I have absolutely no attraction to use straws to drink any liquid of any kind. Is there something I am missing?

Metal tubes?

I was at a high end restaurant a few weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised to see they were using paper straws. They have a life of about an hour though before they lose thier integrity. I need to find some of those.

I don't understand the need for a reusable straw. Why not just drink out of the container?

There are hard plastic and metal straws at walmart in the camping area? I've bought a couple of packages. Use one every day.

Bought some from Leahmans a while back. Metal and came with pipe cleaners.

We use the Myracir Stainless steel ones. Glass breaks with kids! Just had to find a slim wire brush that fits to clean them out from smoothies and stuff.

If you buy them, don't forget to also buy pipe cleaners.

My daughter is a fan of telling me she's going to buy me one everytime i drink an iced coffee around her. I don't have one yet.
