Just read "This Fight Is Our Fight" by Elizabeth Warren. It seems she and I are almost completely in agreement on what has happened to our country (the U.S.) and where we are at.

I am even considering volunteering for her 2020 Presidential campaign, and I hate dealing with the public. The book was that good and so right on target.

Warren is terrific. She will raise a lot of pertinent issues. I like Biden as he has shifted on cannabis & criminal justice reform & missed his opportunity. Knows every body & how thing run. & he can eviscerate Comrade Chump. If he croaks in office we need a back up of color or gender that is a quick learner with a good track record. Oprah Winfrey. Only because First Lady Obama will not run. Jamie Dimon is my outsider pick along with Sherrod Brown

Biden hasn't a chance, he's to center right for a lot of Dems..especially Millenials...Oprah is a religous bigot, and happily Michelle won't run...Tulsi Gabbard, Warren and Harris are great contenders..

@Charlene One thing about Biden that I respect is that he hasnt' used his position in variouses offices to enrich himself, as so many other elected officials have. So, I do respect hsi ethics in that regard. If it comes down to a choice between him and Trump, I'd choose him easily.

@snytiger6 as would I, I have never voted red.

@Charlene Having been raised Mormon and far right conservative, i started out as a republican... then I realized they didn't really represent people like me (not rich). I first went Green, but that didn't allow me to vote in primaries, so I registered as democrat. Now I live in WA state and nobody is registered with any political affiliation here, because we have open primaries.

If I had to put myself into apolitical affiliation, I'd say I mostly alighn with the Democratic Socialists, which is far different from the Marxist Socialists.

@Charlene All have flaws. Tulsi referred to "...a bunch of crazy homosexuals" & is now apologising as are other like Harris for filling the prisons in California with men of color. Biden wrote the crime law we are living under & is apologising for it. He has the ability to evolve & missed his opportunity & can rough it out with Comrade Chump. I take issue with your view of Oprah being a bigot. She is a searcher but embraces religions of many hues. An admitted atheist would make things worse so we have to accept religion in out candidates. Biden as a centrist needs to balance the ticket with color or gender or both. Then if he croaks in office , she can step up.

@Countrywoman Oprah has stated publicly.. "Atheist have no sense of of wonder, due to lack of faith in gaawd".as an atheist..that statement alone disqualifies her..as well as having destroyed the lives of many hard working men that couldn't keep up their child support during her "Crusade" against "deadbeat" Dads..Along with her Utter lack of experience in the political field, disqualifies her from That office. As Drump has made Abundently clear.
Joe Biden sold out the Dems 3 weeks Before the 2016 elections. He gave a speech to a right leaning group in Indiana(?) in support of Republican Senator Upton. And took home a $200k payment. So there ya go with a Centrist dem that lined his pockets at the cost of a Senate seat..

@Charlene Thank you for that information. I respect your views indeed. I would not choose these 2 as my candidates. But I think they could unseat Comrade Chump. My choice would be Bernie & Warren. Not a chance. I think their composure issue & inexperience with militants might present a problem as folks vote more on appearances than policy.

@Countrywoman I think that A Sanders\ Warren ticket would destroy Drump..the country, and Millenial in particular are leftist through and through..i hope you didn't feel as if I was attacking you, it wasn't meant too..

@Charlene No harm. I follow your acerbic wit & appreciate your knowledge.

@Countrywoman thanks...

I agree, loved her book!

Warren is a very bright , moral, an active person and politician. She is my candidate, too.

I think there will be other contenders that will have to be considered as well...I will put my time and money when I evaluate who has the best chance of winning and not necessarily who has the best platform and agenda...it is the unfortunate state of politics this next round...

You are right. There are other contenders, but so far, mos tack are lacking when you hear them speak, they simply dont' have the same assuredness or conviction as Warren. Things may change though. 'llI keep an open mind.

@snytiger6 I saw that Chris Hayes from MSNBC is doing some sort of comparative documentary on the candidates that have thrown their hats in so far...what they want to accomplish, etc. I want to watch that.

I know this is all kinds of wrong, but I can't stand her voice...I watch her with closed captions because that is how irritating her voice is to me...I just don't find her likable...it is shallow, but enough to make me think she won't beat tRump if he runs again...and we need to win.

@thinktwice Honestly, that is kind of how I felt about Hillary's voice too. However I still voted for her.

Just curious, which voice grates on you more Warren's or Trump's? For me it is definitely Trump's

@snytiger6 His voice is not the issue with me...it is his lack of sincerity and general monotone, use of simplistic language, etc. He is distracting with his odd hand movements...his cadence...

Believe me...I would never NOT vote for Warren if she was the chosen candidate...not based on her voice alone...I am just saying that the one I hope we select and the one I will send money to will have to have the most boxes ticked...

@thinktwice Yeah. For me too. In th 2016 primary I voted for Bernie Sanders. I thought Hillary was/is way too corporate friendly. However, when it came down to her or Trump, she had way more than ten times the number of correct boxes ticked.

@snytiger6 sad that we have to vote the lesser of two instead of the best of the best....

I will vote for a person whose voice I do not like. It is policy that I vote on in the primaries & general, midterms also.
