There have been many times that while driving at night and in rain or snow i passed a pedestrian in black clothes walking with the traffic flow. I guess we should add a class in school to tell these people that you should carry a light and walk toward traffic if they want to survive!

Urbanites! They are used to street lights & everybody else looking out for them.

I almost have hit kids on bikes too. Wear light colored clothing, reflectors or lights. There are far too many pedestrian and cyclist deaths by car every year.

This is an issue on my (undeveloped, county) street: no lights, no sidewalks. You could totally hit someone.

guilty...to my defense, which is poor, my coat is black and my dog is black...sometimes he sneaks out and I want to get to him before he gets run over...and I live on a very sparsely traveled road, but I have had some close encounters...

I need to hang up a light colored coat near the door...stupid kills...

Do it right now.

@jlynn37 I will when I get home...I am breaking my own sensibilities...

There are leashes and collars that light up.

@CaroleKay He does have a lighted color but he tends to lumber into the middle of the road...most people know my dog and like I said, so few cars, but I just need to not wear my black coat...it is one of those things where if it happens to someone else, you know they would take a couple of minutes to fix it not to be killed or injured...it is careless, laziness, etc. on my part...I will fix it...
