The hypocrites in Washington bitch constantly about "Russian interference", then what do they do in Venezuela? That's right. As if Trump has any say in who is president of Venezuela. Washington idiots . . .

The Trump regime seems to be using the US Embassy in Caracas as human bait, for Maduro to snap at--thus providing the casus belli for US military intervention. Meanwhile, Venezuela is mobilizing its massive militia, to support the Venezuelan military in repelling a US invasion. We'll see what happens when the 72-hr ultimatum is up. Trump has been discussing this with his aides for some time. And he just may view US intervention as a way of boosting his sagging poll numbers; as well as taking away public attention fro the Mueller investigation.

Foreign interference in US politics (whether real or imaginary) = BAD
US interference in foreign politics (certainly real) = GOOD

Relations between the U.S. and Venezuela have quickly soured after President Trump officially recognized opposition leader Juan Guaido as Venezuela’s interim president.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, a socialist, has declared he is ending diplomatic relations with the U.S. and is giving U.S. diplomats 72 hours to vacate the country, the Washington Post reported Wednesday.

We have a long and tainted history of this. Ironic now that we have had the tables turned and people are now up in arms.
