It just occurred to me this morning that some names in the Book of Mormon may be coded.
Take these three names: Moroni, Mormon, and Amoron. All three are the word "moron" with an extra letter. Take the extra letters out, and you get i, m and a. Put the extra letters before the word "moron" and you get:
I m a moron.
Joseph Smith, author of the Book of Mormon, seems to be telling people that if they believe his fake religion, they may as well tell themselves: "I am a moron."
And then Smith laughs at his readers by naming another character Moronihah.
That is an amazing discovery. I wonder if Joseph Smith was secretly passing along a message for future followers.
Possibly. He may even have written the Book of Mormon as a satire.
Quite possibly...but when people believed he went along with the charade and had sex with all his wives. @BestWithoutGods
@nicknotes And sex was not the only incentive. He also made it mandatory for all members of his fake church to pay a tithing of 10% of their incomes, as well as other "voluntary" donations. Sex and money. That's what made Moronism.
Religion is a great business....and no tax liability on the tithes. @BestWithoutGods
I once saw a bumper sticker that read adMit it he is a Rummy.
Yes but of course in reformed Egyptian these mean "like a rock " "He who keeps a rock in his hat" and "Rocks in the head"
Spaceballs! LOL. That fits Moronism perfectly!
Neat it could be. He was a complete fraud, who must have known that it was silly to write a nineteenth century book in sixteenth century English. What God can not understand modern languages ?
Good point. He was mimicking the King James Bible.
I'm thinking that he may have written the Book of Mormon as a satire. Then when people took it seriously, he profited from it by creating a religion which demanded 10% of people's income as a tithe.
@BestWithoutGods And of course that was a complete fraud, which made no attempt at traslation but simplty invented what the editors wanted as they went along.
