He’s incel royalty and god-bothering, gibberish-spouting sexist pig.

You're among friends here. Tell us how you really feel.

I would argue that a person's worth is not measured by your romantic partner. BTW - he's married. And nothing in this post was sexist. Soooooo, there's that...

@jondspen I was referring to him in general.

@FreethoughtKaty Well - in general, he's still married. Sooooo, there's that.... As far as sexist, I have never heard him say one sex is better or worse than another, just different with different strengths and biological conditioning due to evolution and society. But I can see how people want to label his character as deficient so as to not accept the data and research he presents. And even if he is sexist, which I disagree, it doesn't necessarily mean what he is saying is wrong. Are you so blinded by hate and contempt that you refuse to acknowledge when someone is providing a reasonable and logically sound argument? Pretty sorry way for an 'enlightened atheist/agnostic' to live IMHO. But you do you - hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

@jondspen I don’t know why you keep mentioning that he’s married. I didn’t say anything about his personal life. And I’d recommend listening to more of him, if you can stand it. I stand by my commentary, as do a great many. Surely I’m not the first person to suggest to you that he is a crap human?

@FreethoughtKaty incel [en.wikipedia.org] "are members of an online subculture[1][2] who define themselves as unable to find a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one"

I'm sorry, I assumed you knew WTF you were talking about. Appears you just cast character attacks onto people, and you don't even know what the word mean. Good to know...

@jondspen he’s quite literally an idol for incels. Look it up for yourself. I didn’t say he was an incel. Although he’s hardly better, IMO. You might read and think before going on the offensive. Or not. It’s up to you.

all his comments are instructing the incels to grow up.

@FreethoughtKaty Completely Wrong. You should do your own research.

@Jacar feel free to disagree but one doesn’t need to “research” anything about him. Just listen to him speak. He’s scum.

Ken Ham is a god-botherer. Peterson is an atheist.

Great mind and interesting insight into many social issues

Yes, but other great minds have different and interesting insight into many social issues also. Not everyone agrees with Peterson's ideas and I am not taking sides.

@jlynn37 Like who? And on what specific issues do you refer? Unlike most people, I don't latch on to a person and believe everything they say as gospel. People can be brilliant, and still be wrong. People can be idiots, and still be right. Critical thinking doesn't revolve around the personal, it SHOULD revolve around the data and interpretation of facts. Given that, I believe Peterson is correct on many social and personal evaluations concerning many topics concerning racism and sexism in society. He is a PhD holding clinical psychologist, and has much real world experience in the field, as well as scientific, peer reviewed, data to back up his claims. Any other "great minds (with) different and interesting insight" whom I have seen him in debates or discussion with , are typically not qualified in the field, lack any scientific data, misquote or misrepresent the data if they do, and make arguments from emotions.

@jondspen Steven Pinker comes to mine as just one. I do agree with you as to what you have stated.

@jlynn37 I did a quick google search, and don't see any dissension between them. In fact, both seem to support each other's research and positions. There may be some academic or scientific dispute on some research data, but it is typically minor from what I can tell.

@jondspen Try YouTube.

@jlynn37 Yea...you mean this? Have watched some of it...but at an hour long, haven't made it thought the whole thing yet. I will say both have some good points, and both are wrong on others; much like any and all humans. No one is omniscient. I would make two points to Pinker - first, the lowest moral in the US Army during Vietnam wasn't in country, but was with troops in the US. Second, increase in some areas, doesn't mean much if the ability for justice, improvement in social position (finances for example), enjoyment or quality of life - aka life/work balance - isn't there. Pinker says we're ignorant, I say we look relative to our environment and others in our community to gauge our success and happiness. Both these guys are great, but I wonder how much time they spend actually living pay check to pay check working in factories, mines, or greedy corporate America.

@jondspen Again, I do agree with you on most of what you say.

@jlynn37 Don't have to agree to listen and attempt to understand. Way sad so many dismiss one of our most important humans based upon fake news rumors.
