Yesterday at work I received a totally inappropriate compliment from a regular customer.
Not gonna lie - it made my day!
I've been single far too long ?
I was downtown Boston on a sunny morning, waiting to cross a busy street. A young jogger ran behind me and called out "Nice ass for an older chic"..yeah it Made my day!?
I get it..compliments are ego boosters..even unexpected ones from men and especially women!❤
I read an article written by a woman once that bemoaned the loss of the wolf whistle and the rise of an overly PC public. She thought it a great ego boost for most any woman feeling down about themselves to walk by a construction site. In less PC times it was almost a sure way to get attention. I worked construction in the early 90's and we were warned NOT to engage in any whistling or cat calls on punishment of termination..There was even a rule for how long you could look at a female.
I have worked construction for 30 years and Never heard of any such restrictions.
Hey, what is inappropriate meaning anyway? Proper or improper "behavior" is the result of education of what others thought you about the difference between right or wrong, or of indoctrination of what others have told you what is acceptable behavior or not. It's an individual thing. If I approach a woman telling her that she is beautiful and that I would like to have sex with her, it is improper to one and ok with another. It's an individual thing within the social boundaries of the moment …… I guess.
Nice ending to this story. I wasn't sure how it was going to go lol ?. I once had the compliment "i'm not trying to be smart but you look like a carcrash". She wasn't trying to be smart, and it was a horrendous hangover. ?
I once had my first ex-wife tell me I'd look better dead. That was after I told her I wanted a divorce (very dysfunctional communication at the time).
Now? We're close friends and have respect for each other. Only took 16 years.
I'm happy to hear you received a compliment! Those can be very uplifting!
Not that "inappropriate" should be encouraged, but as the joke goes, the difference between flirting and harassment is if you like it.
That's so true.
Good for you and your sense of self to turn around suck a comment to a deserving compliment
I meant such not suck
@1000runner it was funnier and more apropros before the correction
So do you have a nice arse? lol
We have no arse in the USA, only ass. And plenty, btw.
