Today's Big Facial Hair News: Beards Aren't cool anymore.
Sometimes a beard is a prop pertaining to a rugged lifestyle men wish they had.
Beards have reached a tipping point..they have become so ubiquitous as to become annoying. They aren’t cool anymore!
University of New South Wales research found that when people are confronted by successive images of hairy men, clean-shaven hunks become more attractive. And vice versa. Basically, the more ubiquitous the beard becomes, the less attractive women find them.
Researcher Robert Brooks, one of the scientists who led the study, said: ‘It appears that beards gain an advantage when rare [a phenomenon called 'rarity of ornamentation'], but when they are in fashion and common, they are declared trendy and that attractiveness is over.’
I'll probably get yelled at for this but I am sick of tattoos on women. A tattoo across your chest? WTF ladies?
I agree
I agree with you. Maybe it's just my age, but I don't think tattoos are attractive on women, and especially not on the neck or chest.
I had a beard when I got married in 1983. I've a picture of me with shoulder length in 1970 with sort of a beard. I have a beard now. It come and goes. It usually goes when I trim it and make a mess. Then it's off for a few months. Shaving is a PITA. though
My wife of 36 years and 8 living together before that, doesn't notice whether it's here when I have a beard. She eventually does when I shave it off. Somtimes right away. Other times in a couple of days.
It's not a big deal and never was.
I love bearded men!?
I love hairy chests!?
In my opinion, a beard makes a man sexier.?
I love the manliness appearance.?
Me too!
I've had my goatee on and off for 30 years. Mostly on. I'd feel weird if I shaved it off now.
Goatees are great! My boyfriend has one.
Most of my life I've been clean shaven until I got divorced that's why i have a beard.
Well, although fewer women might be attracted by a beard, at least you'll know they love you for yourself, LOL!
@birdingnut That's not true! A lot of women like beards. We may not be the majority but there are more than a "few" of us.
